Report from the GOLDEN related track at EGOS 2015

It was the third time in a row that the annual EGOS colloquium hosted a GOLDEN related track on organizational innovation towards sustainable enterprise models. Beside having many interesting paper presentations which investigated the sustainability challenge from individual-, organizational- und system level perspectives, we organized a joint panel with another track (focusing on responsible leadership) for the first time. Given the themes of the two tracks, the panel discussed the role of corporate leaders in driving sustainable development in corporations and society. Following the extraordinary positive feedback from the audience on this format, we will try to organize a similar session again in our track at next year’s EGOS.

Please mark your calendars for next year’s conference July 7-9 2016 in Naples, Italy. We kindly invite short paper submissions to our track on “Innovating towards sustainable organizations – the role of power, resistance and social context” (submission system will open in late summer/early fall 2015).

2nd International Workshop on the Sharing Economy

ESCP-Europe hosts this event in January 2016 addressing the question: How does the sharing economy disrupt individual behaviors, industries and public regulation?

Airbnb, Kickstarter, Uber, Fab Labs, The Food Assembly, etc.: the rise of these collaborative initiatives no doubt constitutes one of the most striking revolutions of the present day. However, despite the rise of the “sharing economy”, no consensus about its definition yet exists. It pertains to a broad set of industries, including collaborative finance (crowdfunding), collaborative production (3D printing, FabLabs, DIY, etc.) collaborative education (e.g. open education and open knowledge) and finally collaborative consumption.

Throughout this workshop, the impact of the sharing economy will be discussed on various dimensions.

The call for the submission of extended paper abstracts ends on October 30th, 2015. Find more information at the conference homepage:
