We would like to invite you to participate in a book project, provisionally entitled “Innovation and Change towards the Sustainable Enterprise: an Experimental Approach”, designed to present some of the key ideas and methodologies that characterize the GOLDEN program.
- In the first part we describe the challenges of studying innovation and change towards sustainable enterprise models, and the overarching approach that the GOLDEN program took to tackle them.
- In the second part, a series of chapters offer a synthesis of the GOLDEN community’s best thinking about the state-of-the-art in the academic and practitioner debates on a specific sustainability issue or functional domain, and suggest possible ways to design field experiments, engaging companies and scholars in a collaborative way, to pilot test innovative approaches and change efforts to embed sustainability in a given (set of) core business process(es) (e.g. incentives or control) or organizational traits (e.g. culture or leadership).
- Finally, the third part tackles the policy problem related to sustainable development with a micro-founded, experimental, approach, which GOLDEN is currently discussing with several UN agencies, the OECD and national governments.
Ideally, we would like to assemble a small group of expert scholars for each chapter of the book. Please read the concept note below and let us know if you are interested in contributing to develop one (or more) of the chapters that we envision would be part of the book. Also, feel free to suggest changes to the proposed Table of Contents. This is going to be a collective venture.
